The Journey Begins

Sindhri mango trees at Sherwah

Thanks for joining me!

Actually, the journey of Sherwah began in 1806 with the construction of Sherwah Canal. Since that time, Sherwah has been our family farm all the while. The online presence, however, started more recently in 2012.

Recently, we conceived the idea of why not make use of e-commerce technology and make available our farm products to everyone in Pakistan. Its a win-win situation for both us as well as consumers. By making available our products to everyone, we would be eliminating the intermediaries, like markets (sabzi mandi) and retailers.

This would help reduce the overall prices and consumers can get fruits, vegetables, and other farm and related products. At the same time, we should be able to supply the best quality products too.

There are however some issues. The shipping and courier industry in Pakistan is not yet fully developed for the e-commerce business. In order to supply fresh vegetables and fruits, we need the cooperation of Pakistan Post and other private courier companies. We will try our best to ship the farm products as faster and cheaper as we can.

We hope to get your support so that we can develop direct farm to consumer channel for the supply of fresh farm products faster and cheaper.
